David Nichols

David Nichols is an experienced fire service professional currently serving as Battalion Chief and Community Risk Reduction Coordinator at the Waynesboro Fire Department since December 2021. Nichols also has extensive experience as an Industrial Rescue Instructor and Program Manager for industrial rescue programs at Moran Environmental Recovery, LLC, and as an Adjunct Instructor at Harrisburg Area Community College. Prior roles include Fire Chief at West Manchester Township Fire Department, Director of Public Safety in Bedford County, Virginia, and various positions in the City of Wilmington, DE. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Disaster Management and Executive Fire Service Leadership from Grand Canyon University, an Executive Fire Officer Certificate from the National Fire Academy, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Fire Services Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
