Dave Paton has over 10 years of experience working with Third Phase, where they served as the Director. In this role, they helped business leaders achieve sustainable growth by increasing the leadership and managerial ability of individuals across their organization. Dave was responsible for recruiting, developing, and empowering the right people in the right roles to create a platform for future success.
In 2010, Dave Paton joined Harrison Assessments Int'l as a Solutions Partner. Here, they delivered leadership, team, and organizational development using sophisticated assessment reports provided by Harrison Assessments. Dave operated on the principle that people can change their behavior and impact once they know what they need to change.
In 2018, Dave Paton worked as the Interim Managing Director for MI Skills Development Centre. During this time, they assumed responsibility for the center's management and operations.
From 2004 to 2008, Dave Paton served as the Head of Training and Development for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. In this role, they designed and implemented a major change management program and oversaw the vocational and managerial skills required for service delivery in a risk-critical environment. Dave also handled the strategic and commercial direction of the largest local authority training establishment in the country, successfully restructuring its operations, reducing staffing, and improving marketing and customer service.
Dave Paton completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from The Open University from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Sutton Valence School from 1968 to 1972, where they completed their 'O' and 'A' Levels.
In addition to their formal education, Dave Paton has obtained various certifications and diplomas. In 2018, they received certifications in Employee Development Accreditation, Certified Harrison Debriefer, and Harrison Recruitment Accreditation from Harrison Assessments Int'l. In 2012, they obtained a Diploma in Small Business Coaching from The Coaching Academy. In 2011, they achieved the status of Certified Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) from The Coaching Academy. In 2010, they completed a Diploma in Corporate and Executive Coaching from The Coaching Academy, and in 2009, they obtained a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching from the same institution. Furthermore, they received certification as an NLP in Business Practitioner from Quadrant 1 International in 2009. In terms of memberships, they passed the Membership Exam of the Institution of Fire Engineers in 1995. Lastly, they have also obtained additional qualifications such as Business Model Generation from Strategyzer and Coach Master Toolkit from The Center for Executive Leadership.
