Thomas Mercer

Thomas Mercer is a UK and European Patent Attorney with experience at HGF Limited since November 2017, where responsibilities have included roles as a UK Patent Attorney and Trainee Patent Attorney. Prior to this, Thomas worked as a self-employed freelance musician, specializing as a trumpeter in a Salsa band between September 2015 and January 2017. Additional experience includes a summer placement in the Accounts Department at Keepmoat Homes and a summer research internship in the Electronic Engineering Department at the University of Sheffield, where a prototype of Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) devices was developed. Thomas holds a Master's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from The University of Sheffield and a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Bournemouth University.
