Ty Walker

Ty Walker is an industry veteran who has produced and managed feature length movies, television shows and new media content. Over the years, Walker has made his mark as a leading indie movie producer and has become known for passionately producing movies of various genres and budgets around the globe.

Walker holds a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Finance from Prairie View A&M University and was once one of the youngest project managers in the global technology business. Before producing his first film, Walker sat behind and learned from some of the top producers in the business, in various roles such as camera assistant, production coordinator, assistant director and unit production manager.

He then successfully produced/line produced such films as the 2012 Sundance hit Blue Caprice, the sci-fi feature Omphalos, the SXSW Grand Jury & Audience winning film All That I Am, the soon to be released noir horror Julia, and REDRUM, the show that set a new Investigative Discovery Channel record with the biggest opening night and highest audience ratings. Walker’s other production credits include Carter High, starring Charles S. Dutton, Vivica Fox, Pooch Hall, Reginald C. Hayes and David Banner, the American terrorist thriller Imperium starring Daniel Radcliffe, Toni Collette and Tracy Letts, the Viacom sitcom Hot Date, the Sundance hit Blast Beat, Lionsgate’s Inherit the Viper, OWN’s Cooking Up Christmas, Warner Media/DC Comics’ Black Lightning, A Dangerous Thing and Girls Getaway Gone Wrong for TUBI, and the hilarious series WOKE for Hulu.
