Michael Roper

Michael Roper is an expert safety professional with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as a Regional HES Specialist at Hartman and Hartman, Inc. since May 2014. Roper has a rich background in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and fire protection, having previously held the position of Occupational Health and Safety Manager at the Department of Energy from November 1989 to June 2011. Prior to that, Roper worked as a Health and Safety Specialist and Structural Firefighter at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center from October 1977 to November 1989, where responsibilities included maintaining fire suppression systems and conducting fire protection training and inspections. Roper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and an Associate's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Butler County Community College.
