Sean Kessler

Sean Kessler, MBA, CMT is an accomplished Steel Trader at Hartree Partners, specializing in ferrous derivatives since September 2025. Previously, Kessler served as Director of Steel and Base Metals Trading at Flack Global Metals, overseeing trading and risk management strategies across various metals from April 2022 to August 2025. Kessler also held the Director position at CME Group from January 2018 to April 2022, focusing on product development in global metals and driving significant trading volume growth. Earlier career experiences include roles at Red Kite Group, URBNEYE, ED&F MAN Capital Markets, Franklin Templeton Investments, and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Kessler holds an MBA in Finance from Jack Welch College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Sacred Heart University.
