Rebecca Abma-Schouten

Rebecca Abma-Schouten has extensive experience in health psychology and research management, currently serving as the Scientific Director at Hartstichting since November 2007, where responsibilities have included roles in research policy and project management. In addition, Rebecca is part of the Program Management Team at the Dutch CardioVascular Alliance, serving as Chair of the Research Policy Pillar since January 2020. Rebecca has also been involved with Leiden University since 2007, initially as a teacher in Health, Medical and Neuropsychology and currently as an external PhD candidate at the Center for Science and Technology Studies. Prior experience includes working as a psychologist at Psychologisch Coaching Consult and an internship. Rebecca holds a Master of Science in Health Psychology from Leiden University and has additional educational credentials from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Goudse Scholengemeenschaft.
