Gregg Herman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gregg currently holds the position of Senior Director of Marketing at Hartz Mountain Corporation, where they have been working since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Marketing at the same company from November 2017 to March 2022.
Before joining Hartz Mountain Corporation, Gregg worked at Bayer Consumer Care, starting in 2015. There, they held the position of Senior Brand Manager, overseeing the Children's Multivitamin Group which had the number one share in the category. Gregg was also responsible for the strategy and execution of the new category entrant, One A Day Kids, which included tasks such as positioning, messaging, and packaging.
Gregg's previous experience includes working at Merck Consumer Care. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the Associate Director/Senior Brand Manager for Coppertone Innovation, leading all innovation efforts for the sun care portfolios. Gregg also managed Coppertone licensing partnerships and pioneered Hispanic targeted initiatives. Earlier, they worked as a Brand Manager for Afrin and Coricidin HBP, responsible for developing and executing a 5-year strategic plan, managing the P&L, and overseeing marketing plan development and execution.
Additionally, Gregg was a Brand Manager for Dr. Scholl's at Merck Consumer Care in 2011 and 2012, where they handled various responsibilities such as P&L management, media planning, advertising development, and product research and development. Gregg also led consumer activation and trade activities for the entire Dr. Scholl's brand.
Prior to their roles at Merck Consumer Care, Gregg worked as a Brand Manager for Claritin New Products, Associate Brand Manager for MiraLAX, and Associate Brand Manager for Claritin, all at Merck Consumer Care. Gregg also served as an Associate Brand Manager for Dr. Scholl's.
Before entering the consumer care industry, Gregg gained experience as a Senior Associate at Tillinghast - Towers Perrin from 2000 to 2004, and as a Consultant at Ernst & Young from 1998 to 2000.
Gregg Herman holds an MBA degree in Marketing and Management from Columbia Business School, which they acquired in 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Consumer Economics from Cornell University in 1998.
