Leela Mitra

Leela Mitra is a dedicated research assistant at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute, focusing on therapeutic and infectious diseases within the institution's TIDE division. Prior experience includes serving as a population health assistant at Boston Children's Hospital, where Leela worked with clinical teams to address complex medical needs, and as a communications intern at GlobeMed, interviewing health leaders to promote public health initiatives. Leela’s background is enriched by various roles during undergraduate studies at Lawrence University, including student intern, philanthropy and engagement caller, content tutor, and admissions ambassador. Additional experience includes research internships focused on public health and social justice, and teaching assistance for young children. Leela is pursuing a Master of Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Boston University, building on a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology, psychology, and Spanish from Lawrence University.
