Mary Catherine Hanafee Laplante

Mary Catherine Hanafee LaPlante is an accomplished board member for Harvard's Women in Entrepreneurship, where Mary Catherine organized the inaugural Harvard Women's Entrepreneurship Conference and managed a pitch competition. Currently involved with Harvard Innovation Labs as a B2B Cohort Member focusing on AI for net-zero goals, LaPlante also serves as a Research Assistant in the Harvard Economics Department, analyzing federal penalties and enforcement actions. Notable past roles include Business Associate for Harvard College Consulting Group, where Mary Catherine led a team addressing referee shortages, and as a Harvard Mindich Fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund, working on US climate policy. Additional experience includes finance management with the Harvard Undergraduate Foreign Policy Initiative and an internship with the US Environmental Protection Agency. LaPlante is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Economics at Harvard University.
