Nicholas Ingle

Nicholas Ingle has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Nicholas is currently working at Harvest Thermal in the field operations department. Prior to that, they worked at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. as the Head of Research, where they played a key role in developing and bringing the first engineered silicon battery material to market. Nicholas also worked on early research in other components of battery performance.

Before Sila Nanotechnologies, Nicholas worked at Kinestral Technologies, Inc. as a Group Leader for Metrology and as a Senior Scientist. During their time there, they contributed to the development of smart windows for dynamic light control, focusing on rapid light transmission switching.

Nicholas also worked at Areva Solar as the Coatings Group Manager, where they led the manufacturing and durability testing of solar selective coatings. In addition, they served as a Materials Scientist, developing processes and tooling to improve product functionality.

Prior to that, Nicholas worked at Ausra Inc. as a Materials Consultant, where they conducted materials characterization and built an optical model for a proprietary nano-structured solar selective coating.

Early in their career, Nicholas worked at The University of British Columbia as a Lecturer, teaching courses in mechanics, the physics of materials, and surface science. Nicholas also served as a Research Faculty member, focusing on engineering material properties at the nanoscale.

Nicholas began their career as a Post-doctoral Affiliate at Stanford University, where they designed and built a high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission chamber and explored its applications in demonstrating the behavior of Fermi Liquids.

Nicholas Ingle's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering, and Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2010, Nicholas Ingle enrolled in The University of British Columbia's Project Management Certificate Program, specializing in Strategic Leadership. Nicholas completed this program in 2013.
