Julie Medero

Julie Medero is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of computer science and engineering, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Harvey Mudd College since July 2014, after initially holding the position of Assistant Professor. In addition to academic responsibilities, Medero has been a Traffic and Transportation Commissioner for the City of Claremont since June 2016. Prior roles include Programmer Analyst at the Linguistic Data Consortium from 2003 to 2007, IT Intern at Wyeth Ayerst in 2001, and Multimedia Tutorial Developer at KnowledgeView, Inc. from 1999 to 2000. Julie Medero earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, completing the PhD in 2014 and the MS in 2010, following a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Linguistics from Swarthmore College in 2003.
