Dr.Sultan Singh

Dr. Sultan Singh has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Dr.Sultan began their career in 1998 as the Chief Geospatial Officer (CGO) at the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority. From 2005, they served as the Haryana Nodal Officer at Geospatial Technical Solution Architecture. In 2009, they joined Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology as a Faculty Member. In 2011, they worked as the State Project Coordinator at NLRMP Haryana- Government of India. In 2012, they served as a Guest Faculty at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. Dr.Sultan then joined Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority in 2019 as the Chief Geospatial Officer (CGO). In 2021, they became the Chief Information Systems Officer (CISO) at Drone Imaging & Information Service of Haryana Ltd. Currently, Dr. Sultan Singh is the Director of Haryana Space Applications Centre (HARSAC) since November 2022 and also held the position of Principal Scientist from 2016 to 2022.

Dr. Sultan Singh completed their education at various institutions. Dr.Sultan obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geospatial Applications from the University of Rajasthan in 1998. Prior to that, they completed their post-graduation in Geography from the same university in 1991. Additionally, Dr. Sultan Singh pursued a Post Graduation Diploma in Human Settlement Analysis Course (HUSAC) - Remote Sensing from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) from 1992 to 1993.

Furthermore, Dr. Sultan Singh has additional certifications and memberships. Dr.Sultan is a member of the Integrated Water & Crop Information & Management System (IWCIMS) National Advisory Committee, affiliated with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Govt. of India. Dr.Sultan was appointed to this role in November 2021. Dr. Sultan Singh is also a member of the Core Expert Committee at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) and a member of the Core Technical Advisory Group (CTAG) at the Department of Land Resources, Government of India.
