Jeroen Alkema is currently engaged in PhD dissertation writing with support from HAS Green Academy after previously serving as a PhD candidate at Wageningen UR, where research focused on the chemical ecology of Drosophila suzukii for sustainable pest management. Jeroen holds a position as a docent and advisor at HAS Green Academy and has experience as a researcher and educator at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Prior roles include owning a science media company and fulfilling various research and technical positions at several universities, including the University of Groningen and the University of Toronto. Jeroen holds a Master’s degree in Behavioural and Cognitive Neurosciences Research and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, supplemented by educational credentials in Nature and Health, Mathematics, and Physics.
