Piet Degen

Piet Degen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in packaging development and education. Currently serving as a Lecturer in Food Packaging at HAS University of Applied Sciences since September 2015, Degen previously worked in various roles including Specialist Packaging Development at MSD-Oss, where expertise in packaging material specifications and test method development was demonstrated. Prior experience includes positions as a Packaging Engineer at NV Organon, a Packaging Designer at Hakapak, and an Assistant Packaging Manager at Unilever Bestfoods, where Degen contributed to the introduction of specification systems and resolution of production issues. Early career experience includes a role as a Sr Lab Technician at Organon Pharmaceuticals, focusing on the screening and stability testing of packaging materials. Education was completed at the Nederlands Verpakkings Centrum in 2000 and HMLS from 1980 to 1984.
