Lichen Han

Lichen Han is a Commercial Counsel at HashiCorp since July 2023, bringing extensive experience in technology transactions and licensing from previous roles as an Associate at Goodwin and Kirkland & Ellis. Lichen's legal career began with roles as a Law Clerk at Daylight Law, P.C. and as a Summer Associate in both Kirkland & Ellis and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, focusing on patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School, a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Lichen gained technical experience as a Software Engineer at Wealthfront Inc. and as a Software Engineer Intern at VMware, as well as a UX Developer Intern at Symantec.
