Gene McDonald Aia

Gene McDonald AIA has extensive work experience in the field of architecture. Gene is currently the Managing Director at HASTINGS, a position they started in December 2021. Prior to this, Gene was with Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) from 2006 to 2021, where they served as Principal & Studio Leader and also worked in commercial development. Gene worked at Solomon Cordwell Buenz as an Associate & Senior Designer from 2006 to 2014. Gene also has experience at Design sketches from 2001 to 2013, RTKL from 2005 to 2006, Studio Agoos Lovera from 2003 to 2005, Omni Architects from 2000 to 2002, and POHL ROSA POHL from 1999 to 2000.

Gene McDonald AIA has a Master of Architecture (MArch) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the University of Kentucky. Gene is also certified by various institutions including AIA Chicago, the Society for College and University Planning, the Urban Land Institute, the Association of College & University Housing Officers - International, the USGBC - National Capital Region Chapter (LEED Green Associate), and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
