Tom DeGroot

Tom DeGroot has a long history of experience in purchasing and supply chain management. Tom began their career in 1986 as a Program Manager/Senior PC Expeditor for Technical Systems, Inc. In 1996 they moved to Lowell Engineering/Magna-Lakeland as a Planning Supervisor and Material Planner. From 1999-2005 they were the Purchasing/Production Control Manager for J-tec Products Company, followed by a role as Purchasing Manager for Service Express from 2005-2009. From 2009-2021 they were a Supply Chain Supervisor/Purchasing Coordinator for Custom Profile and then a Purchasing Manager for Rockford Package Supply Co. from 2021-2023. Currently, they are a Purchasing Manager for Hastings Manufacturing.

Tom DeGroot has a varied educational background. Tom first attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible & Music from 1984 to 1986. Tom then attended Grand Rapids Community College from 1990 to 1994, where they earned an Associates degree in Arts - Graphic Design. After this, they attended Cornerstone University from 1996 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management. Tom returned to Cornerstone University from 2002 to 2004 to earn a Masters degree in Management & Leadership. Finally, in 2012 they earned a Professional Life Coaching Certificate from Fowler Wainwright International Institute of Professional Coaching.
