James Bowles

James Bowles is an experienced software developer with a robust background in Ruby on Rails development and API design. Currently serving as a Software Developer at Hatch since May 2020, previous roles include Senior Software Developer and Contract Software Developer at Flux Federation and Technical Consultant at Abletech. James has led key projects, such as enhancing the YouShop service for NZ Post to support multiple countries and delivering APIs for international freight partners. Additional experience encompasses software development at the Ministry of Social Development and the New Zealand Ministry of Justice, with a focus on legacy application rewrites and automated testing.
