Carla van der Pol is an experienced research manager and senior researcher at HatchTech Incubation Technology since March 2011, specializing in the incubation requirements of avian embryos and the handling of hatchlings, focusing on product development and optimization. Prior to this, Carla served as a PhD candidate at Wageningen University and HatchTech B.V. from September 2012 to May 2017, investigating early life factors affecting bone development in broiler chickens to enhance leg health, with an emphasis on lighting schedules. Carla also has experience as a student assistant at Wageningen University from February 2007 to March 2010. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Incubation from Wageningen University (2012-2017), a Master of Science in Adaptation Physiology and Animal Behaviour, and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, both from Wageningen University & Research.
