Marcelo Guzmán Villalta

Marcelo Guzmán Villalta has a diverse work experience in the field of web development and software engineering. Marcelo began their career as a Programador at Universidad de Costa Rica in 2012. After that, they worked as a Web Developer on a freelance basis from 2013 to 2014. Simultaneously, they also served as a Profesor at Universidad Americana from 2013 to 2014. Marcelo then joined Prodigious Latin America, where they worked as a Senior Front End Engineer from an unknown date in 2014 to May 2019. Following that, Marcelo worked as a Senior Software Developer at CreativeDrive from June 2019 to July 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Web Application Developer at HatchWorks, starting from August 2020.

Marcelo Guzmán Villalta pursued their education in the field of Information Technology from the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), where they obtained a Bachelor's degree. Marcelo then continued their academic journey at the same university and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Marcelo has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas. Marcelo completed the Scrum Master Professional Certificate (SMPC) from CertiProf in October 2018. Later on, in March 2018, they completed the React nanodegree program from Udacity.

Marcelo has also acquired a set of certifications related to User Experience (UX) and design. Marcelo completed the "Become a UX Designer from Scratch" and "User Experience: The Beginner's Guide" courses from The Interaction Design Foundation in September 2020. More recently, in June and July 2022, Marcelo obtained certifications in "How to Create a UX Portfolio," "UI Design Patterns for Successful Software," "Journey Mapping," and "Information Visualization: Getting Dashboards Right" from The Interaction Design Foundation.

Furthermore, Marcelo has undergone training in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and holds several certifications from this platform. Marcelo earned the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification in August 2022, followed by the AWS Certified Developer - Associate and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certifications in September 2022.
