HDA also supplies the diesel power for generators, pumps and military equipment. Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH & Co. KG, with its head office in Ruhstorf an der Rott, is a globally leading German diesel engine manufacturer. The family run company employs more than 900 employees, more than five percent of them in the field of research and development. In 2014, a turnover of approximately 155 million Euro was achieved. Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH Co. & KG was founded by Mathias Hatz in 1880.
