Jane D. has a diverse range of work experience. Jane co-founded Haven Villages in 2020 and serves as the CEO. Prior to that, they co-founded and was the CEO of TheJetters.com, a P2P marketplace connecting travelers to fill vacancies in hotel rooms and vacation rentals. Jane worked at SASB – Sustainability Accounting Standards Board as an Investor Relations Associate, where they focused on evolving market disclosure standards as a capital markets solution to climate risk. Jane also worked as an Analyst at Earnest Inc. and in Marketing and Client Relations at Progress Investment Management Company. Additionally, they gained experience as a Global Climate Change Research Intern at USAID, a Corporate Social Responsibility Intern at Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, and a Strategic Communications Intern at the United Nations. Jane began their career as a Microfinance Intern at Grameen Bank, where they learned about their efforts to reduce poverty in Bangladesh.

Jane D. is a Master of Science (M.Sc.) candidate in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science at Lund University in Sweden. Prior to pursuing their graduate studies, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics at the University of California, Riverside. In 2011 to 2012, they participated in exchange studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Jane D. has also obtained additional certifications, including a Product Manager Certificate from Product School in January 2019 and an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from SSI Scuba Schools International in November 2016.
