Jim Gay has a diverse work experience in the sales and marketing field. Jim started their career in 1981 as the Eastern Regional Manager for Distributor Products at Biolab, Inc. and held the same position at Bio-Lab, Inc. In 2001, they became the Senior District Sales Manager at BioLab Inc., where they successfully achieved corporate sales and marketing goals and expanded sales to include mass-market accounts. From 2001 to 2002, they served as the National Account Sales Manager for Distributor Products Division at BioLab Inc., where they set up and implemented the Pool Season Brand for Hughes Supply and managed business activities and relationships with Hughes Supply Pool Division. From 2002 to 2007, they worked as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager for Distributor Custom Brands at BioLab, Inc., managing up to 6 salespeople and regional sales of up to $50 million per year. In 2008, they joined Jack's Magic as a Regional Manager. Since 2016, they have been working as the Regional Sales Manager and Regional Sales Marketing Manager for Haviland Enterprises, Inc., responsible for managing sales of multiple brands and developing strong relationships with customers and their staff in the Florida and Georgia region.

Jim Gay attended Florida State College at Jacksonville from 1974 to 1976. During their time there, they pursued studies in the field of Business, but did not attain a degree.
