David Dooley is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in leadership and compliance. Currently serving as a Board Member for Dev-Island since November 2021, David advises on a coding bootcamp aimed at training local Kauai students. In a concurrent role as an Equity Specialist at the Hawaii State Department of Education since July 2018, David focuses on civil rights training and compliance for K-12 education. Past roles include School Principal at Ocosta School District, Admissions Officer and Program Manager for Career Services at Brigham Young University Hawaii, and Dean of Students at Lakes High School. David holds a Doctor of Education in Education Leadership from the University of Southern California and multiple master's degrees in related fields.
