Rebecca Walters

Rebecca Walters is a dedicated Special Education Teacher currently serving at the Hawaii State Department of Education since August 2023, with prior experience in a similar role at Marlboro Central School District from September 2022 to September 2023. Rebecca's professional background includes event coordination for youth ministries at the Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, where responsibilities included organizing youth ministry events and supervising youth groups during trips. Earlier experience as a server at Heritage Hill Food and Drink involved providing food and drink service to customers. Rebecca holds a Master of Science in Education from Marist College, obtained in July 2023, and a dual degree in Psychology/Special Education and Early Childhood Education from the same institution, completed in 2022. Additionally, a study abroad program focused on Multicultural Education was undertaken at Istituto Lorenzo de'​ Medici in early 2020, following the attainment of an Advanced Regents Diploma from Fayetteville-Manlius Senior High School in 2018.
