Brianne Yamada Nitahara

Manager, Joint Use Infrastructure

Brianne Yamada Nitahara is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Hawaiian Electric since July 2017, Brianne oversees $190 million in Wildfire Mitigation, Grid Hardening, and Resiliency projects under the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Previous roles include Generation Engineer, providing engineering support for emergency and long-term initiatives at a steam power generation facility, and Power Supply Engineer, Designer II, managing capital projects related to various power generation systems. Earlier experience includes serving as an Energy Engineer at R.P. Delio and Company, Inc., where Brianne led energy efficiency projects nationwide, and tutoring student-athletes in advanced subjects at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Brianne holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
