Yingwei Kaplan

Yingwei Kaplan is an accomplished manager at Hawaiian Electric, specializing in the operationalization of the Transportation Electrification network in Hawaii since January 2017. With extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager at LYON Associates, Yingwei managed diverse projects across Hawaii and the Pacific Islands, including roadway enhancements and solar energy initiatives. Previously, Yingwei held key roles at AECOM/Legacy URS, overseeing civil engineering design for rail transit stations and managing numerous transportation projects. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Civil Engineer for the County of Hawaii, where Yingwei managed island-wide subdivision projects, and contributing as a Transportation Engineer at the Maryland State Highway Administration, leading innovative modeling and design projects. Yingwei holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Penn State Great Valley and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Hebei University of Technology.
