Saskia Booiman has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Saskia is currently working as a System Lead Strategic Planning at Hawke's Bay District Health Board since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Ministry of Health New Zealand as a Project Lead from September 2020 to June 2021.

Saskia Booiman pursued their education at the University of Otago, where they obtained a Bachelor of Health Science degree with an endorsement in Radiation Therapy from 2005 to 2007. Later on, from 2009 to 2011, Saskia pursued a Post Grad Diploma in Public Health at the same institution, specializing in Public Health.
