Partner, Neighbourhood Lead at Hawkins Brown Architects

Carol is an experienced architect with many years’ experience working across the education sector. She has a particular interest in schools; leading the school sector across the practice.

As an architect Carol’s strength lies in her ability to bring together clients, designers and construction professionals with an infectious enthusiasm and clarity of purpose to make great buildings. Her recent projects include the redevelopment of six primary schools for the London Borough of Southwark, Shrewsbury House School and delivering UTC Cambridge. She has also lead a number of both new build and refurbishment projects with the City of London involving both school and residential developments.

Carol is known as being passionate about the impact good design can have in an educational environment. She was a champion of Hawkins\Brown’s #GreatSchools initiative in partnership with the Architects Journal and regularly participates as an expert panel member in debates about school design in the current climate. She is also a parent governor and is on the board of trustees of the Lion Education Trust.
