Anthony Karabanow

Anthony Karabanow is an experienced infectious diseases physician currently practicing at Hawthorn Medical Associates since September 2019. Additionally, Anthony has been a medical doctor with the Disaster Management Assistance Team in New Hampshire since June 2015 and previously served in New Mexico. As a lecturer at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Anthony teaches clinical tropical medicine. Anthony's career includes completing an infectious diseases fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and working as an academic hospitalist at Maine Medical Center. Anthony also has extensive international medical experience, having served with organizations such as International Medical Corps, Médecins Sans Frontières Belgium, and Hôpital Sacré Coeur in various capacities, including medical coordinator and chief medical officer. Academic qualifications include an MD from the University of Connecticut and an infectious diseases fellowship from Tufts University School of Medicine, along with degrees in Physics from the University of Toronto.
