Hawthorne Community Center
Caleb Sutton serves as the Executive Director of Hawthorne Community Center since November 2019, bringing extensive experience in nonprofit management and community service. Previously, Caleb held the Deputy Director and Director of Programs and Research positions at the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention from October 2016 to November 2019. Additionally, Caleb worked as a 5th Grade Teacher at Avondale Meadows Academy for a brief period in 2016 and spent over 13 years at Hawthorne Community Center in various roles, including Senior Director of Programs and Services and Youth Programs Director. Caleb holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from DePauw University and a Master of Public Affairs in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University Indianapolis.

Hawthorne Community Center
Hawthorne Community Center has been serving the Near Westside of Indianapolis for more than 90 years. Hawthorne provides services for neighborhood residents ranging from early education to adult financial literacy programs. Hawthorne includes three separate buildings serving youth, families and older adults. Hawthorne’s mission is to provide or facilitate services and programs that meet the economic, educational, financial, social, recreational, and civic needs of the Near Westside.
