Managing Director - Acquisitions at Hawthorne Residential Partners

Matthew Day is the current Managing Director of Acquisitions at Hawthorne Residential Partners. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Investment at CWS Capital Partners from January 2019 to December 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading Fogelman's investment team to acquire multifamily properties in Texas and the Southeast. From January 2017 to December 2018, they served as SVP Investments at Fogelman Properties. In this role, they were responsible for lead Fogelman's investment team to acquire multifamily properties in Texas and the Southeast. From January 2012 to December 2017, they served as SVP, Acquisitions at Steadfast Companies. In this role, they were responsible for leading Steadfast's national investment acquisitions platform and acquiring multifamily and senior living properties throughout the United States. From January 2007 to December 2012, they served as Vice President of Asset Management at Wentwood Capital Advisors. In this role, they were responsible for managing a portfolio of 68-LIHTC and conventional assets on the West Coast consisting of 11,000 units. Matthew was also responsible for all aspects of workouts including loan restructures, refinances and dispositions.

Matthew Day has an MBA in Finance from the New York Institute of Technology and a degree in Theirtory from Texas State University.
