James

James Burdass is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in tax and business management. Currently, James owns and operates Haxby Pilates Studio, a reformer pilates studio established in July 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Director in Global Enterprise Tax Solutions at PwC from April 2017 to May 2025. Prior to that, James held various positions at GE from September 1996 to March 2017, culminating in the role of Functional Leader in Stat & Tax Technology, where responsibilities included leading a technology team that developed innovative solutions for over 100 countries in statutory and tax reporting. James began their career at Arthur Andersen, specializing in corporate tax while qualifying as an ACA and ultimately becoming a Corporate Tax Manager. James holds a BSC in Psychology from Durham University, completed in 1988, and attended St Peter's School, York.
