Dan Katz has a long and distinguished career in public policy. Dan began their career in 1997, working as a Legislative Director, Professional Staff Member, and Legislative Assistant for the United States Senate. In 2002, they were promoted to Chief of Staff and Chief Counsel for the same organization. In 2014, they moved to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) where they held the roles of Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Counselor to the Secretary. In 2017, they became Director of Global Public Policy and North American Projects for Virgin Hyperloop. In 2018, they joined Lyft as Senior Director of Public Policy. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Vice President of Public Policy for Hayden AI.
Dan Katz obtained a J.D. from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1993. Dan is also a Member of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
