Amanda Brooks, CCS-P, CPC, CRC, CPMA has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Amanda Brooks, began their career in 2006 as a Medical Records Technician at the University of Chicago Hospitals. In 2008, they joined Humana as a Quality Coding Auditor, Coding Consultant, and Medical Coding Analyst/Quality Assurance. In 2016, they moved to UnitedHealth Group as a Healthcare Economics Consultant, where they managed and led the Data Intake process for the Advanced Analytics Lab. In 2019, they joined Medical University of South Carolina as a Compliance Manager and also took on a role as a Product Advocate for Health & Wellness at Melaleuca:The Wellness Company. Most recently, in 2020, they became a Business Analytics Lead Analyst-Medical Coder at Cigna and is currently an Associate Product Manager at MDaudit.

From 2010 to 2011, they attended Moraine Valley Community College again, this time studying Health Information/Medical Records Technology/Technician. In 2008, they obtained a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-Based certification from AHIMA. In 2010, they obtained a Certified Professional Coder certification from AAPC. In 2013, they obtained an AHIMA Approved ICD-10 CM/PCS Trainer certification from AHIMA. Finally, in 2015, they obtained a Certified Professional Medical Auditor certification from AAPC.
