Arjen van der Valk

Arjen van der Valk has an extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Arjen started their career as an Assistant F&B Manager at Marriott Amsterdam and later worked as a Service Manager at Swan Fan Makkum. Arjen then worked as an Account Manager at Carlton Hotels Nederland B.V. and NH Hoteles. Arjen also owned a food business called ArDeCo Food for a year. Arjen then transitioned into the HR services industry, starting as a Sales Manager at B-Street, a freelance industry intermediary. After that, they joined TMNS as a Business Development Manager, where they developed and managed projects for new and existing clients. Arjen then worked at Randstad, where they held multiple roles including Managing Consultant at Randstad Nederland and Global Development Manager and Vice President positions at Randstad Global Client Solutions. Currently, they work as a Global Client Director at Hays, where they are globally responsible for delivering multi-country MSP programs, temp and perm sourcing, client development, and innovation for one of the largest life sciences organizations in the world.

Arjen van der Valk holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business/Managerial Economics from TIAS School for Business and Society, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Arjen also has a Bachelor's Degree in International hospitality management from Stenden, earned between 1996 and 2001. Additionally, they attended Eemland College Zuid from 1988 to 1994. Arjen also has obtained certifications such as being a Randstad Certified Mentor from Randstad in 2021, completing the Challenger Sale Foundations program from Randstad Enterprise Group in 2021, and finishing the Learning How To Learn for Youth course from Coursera in 2020.
