Mike Turmelle

Mike Turmelle has served as the Managing Director of Hayward Tyler since January 2018. Prior to this appointment, he served as President of Hayward Tyler’s U.S. operations.

Before joining Hayward Tyler, Mike founded an independent consulting company, working with start-ups and turnarounds in the areas of renewable energy, medical, and advanced technologies. He also served as CFO of Premium Power, a large-format battery company, and was CFO/COO of SatCon Technology Corporation.

Mike has served on the leadership boards of several corporations. During his time at SatCon Technology, he served on its Board of Directors. He was also on the Board of Directors of Implant Sciences Corp., a (then) public company focused on trace narcotic and explosive detection, serving as a member and then as its Board Chairman. He was also on the Board of Directors of Beacon Power, a technology company focused on flywheel energy storage.

Mike has a BA in Economics from Amherst College and is a graduate of General Electric’s Financial Management Program.
