Travis Gayles

Travis Gayles currently serves as the Chief Health Officer at Hazel Health since September 2021. In addition to this role, Travis has been an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University since January 2020 and has held Adjunct Faculty positions at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from August 2019 to September 2021 and June 2018 to September 2021, respectively. Prior to these roles, Travis was the Chief of Public Health Services and Medical Officer for Montgomery County at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from September 2017 to September 2021. Travis holds an MD in Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and a PhD in Health Policy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
