David Wilke

David Wilke, MBA, FAHP, CFRE has a diverse work experience in the field of development and fundraising. David is currently serving as the Chief Development Officer at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation since February 2023. Before that, they held the position of Vice President of Development & Campaign Strategy at the same organization from August 2020 to February 2023.

Prior to their role at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, David worked at Trinity Health (HQ Michigan) as the Chief Development Officer for Loyola Medicine and Mercy Hospital & Medical Center from May 2017 to July 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading community medicine philanthropy and philanthropy operations at Loyola Medicine, as well as being the lead fundraising executive for Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.

From July 2015 to May 2017, David worked at Presence Health as the System Director of the Presence Health Foundation. David also served as the interim System Vice President and Chief Development Officer during a leadership transition. David successfully integrated the operations of nine fundraising entities and exceeded annual fundraising goals.

David's work experience also includes a role as the Director of Development and Administration at Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation from February 2005 to February 2013.

At the beginning of their career, David worked at Public Allies in various roles. David was the Director of Resource Development for Public Allies Chicago from October 2001 to March 2005. Prior to that, they were the Operations/Program Manager for Public Allies Cincinnati from August 2000 to October 2001.
