James A. Blaha

As Hazelden Betty Ford's principal financial strategist, Jim Blaha oversees the organization's finance, payor relations, support services, human resources and information technology, legal, standards and compliance, and health information management areas. Before coming to Hazelden Betty Ford, he served as CFO of a senior healthcare, housing and assisted living organization for 17 years. Prior to his role in the senior living industry, Blaha spent 16 years working in public accounting and management consulting as a designated healthcare industry specialist, with 13 years at Deloitte. His educational background includes a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and Financial Executives International.
