Technical Lead / Machine Learning Engineer at Hazy

Rees Davison has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. In 2010, they completed a work placement at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, where they carried out research for fellows and postgraduate students, as well as designing posters and graphics to aid a carbon capture and storage presentation. In 2013, they completed a work placement at Sellafield Ltd, where they shadowed electrical and mechanical engineers designing the Silo Direct Encapsulation Plant, and trained in using CAD software. In 2015, they worked as a tutor at Cardiff Sixth Form College, teaching A-level students how to write effective personal statements, as well as giving individual tutoring and classes on how to go about answering interview questions. Rees also worked as a consultant for Oxford Student Consultancy. In 2016, they worked as a community volunteer for Mano a Mano International, where they managed a small team of workers building greenhouses for impoverished rural communities in the Andes mountain range. In 2017, they worked as an R&D Software Developer for PIMLOC LIMITED, where they were involved in full stack systems software development and development of machine learning algorithms. In 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer for Let's Do This. Currently, they are a Technical Lead and Machine Learning Engineer for Hazy.

Rees Davison attended Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School from 2006 to 2013, where they completed their Secondary School and Sixth Form. Rees then attended the University of Oxford from 2013 to 2017, where they earned an MEng in Engineering Science.
