Robert Sanchez, MD, FACC, serves as the Medical Director at HCA Florida Heart Institute and HCA Florida Northside Hospital since July 1991, bringing over three decades of experience in cardiology. In addition, Robert holds leadership roles within HCA Healthcare, including Chair of the Cardiology Governance Council and Vice Chairman of the Cardiovascular Governance Council since June 2016. As a member of several councils focused on cardiovascular services, Robert contributes to the advancement of heart failure initiatives and cardiac operations. Robert has also been the Program Director for the Cardiology Fellowship at HCA Florida Northside Hospital since July 2009 and serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Education at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine since January 2020. Robert completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases and an internship/residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore-LIJ Health System and earned an MD from New York Medicine Jobs after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Stony Brook University.
