Maria MacEdo-Rea

Maria Macedo-Rea, DNP, MPH, RN, CPHQ, CIC, serves as the Division Director of Infection Prevention and Quality at HCA Healthcare since September 2021, bringing extensive experience in infection prevention and quality management from previous roles at AdventHealth Tampa and BayCare Health System. With a strong background in developing and managing Infection Prevention Programs, Maria oversees infection surveillance, policy development, and staff training while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Maria also has a rich clinical background, having worked in the Neonatal ICU as a Clinical Nurse and Infection Control Practitioner at Tampa General Hospital. Maria holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master's Degree in Public Health, alongside several nursing certifications, underscoring a commitment to evidence-based practices and quality patient care.
