HCP was founded by Hasmukh C. Patel in 1960. Today, it is a design practice with over 300 people, with offices at Ahmedabad, Delhi and Pune. We are a multidisciplinary practice that provides professional services in architectural design, interior design, engineering, urban design, urban planning, communications, project management and construction management. We believe that essentially, design is problem solving. Our objective is to find simple, clear and elegant solutions to practical problems within the constraints posed by the cultural context, the site, construction technology and the available budget. We also believe that design is enriched by collaboration between diverse experts and end-users. HCP has completed a large and diverse range of projects which range from individual buildings to campuses, townships, strategic plans, statutory plans, regulations, exhibitions, books, films and more. Our projects are located across India and abroad. We have received several awards including the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Urban Planning and Design.
