Matías Tapia Malmus

Matías Tapia Malmus is currently a VC Associate at HCS Capital. Prior to this, they worked as an Ayudante del curso Mercados II at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from August 2018 to December 2018 where they were responsible for Finanzas Corporativas. From February 2019 to May 2022, they worked as an Ingeniero Finanzas Senior, Gerencia de Finanzas CMPC also in Finanzas Corporativas. In July 2017, they did a professional practice in Gerencia de Finanzas de CMPC for 2 weeks where they got to know how an Investment Bank of this level works. In February 2018, they did an internship at Houlihan Lokey for 2 weeks with the same objective. From January 2017 to February 2017, they did research in Market Investigation at CAINTA HAYLEN JV.

Matías Tapia Malmus has a Diplomado en Data Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Diplomado Ejecutivo en Estrategia from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and an Ingeniero Comercial from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Matías also did an exchange program at Heidelberg University in Germany. Lastly, they have a certification from Heidelberg Center for Latin America in Curso Alemán B1.3 and a certification from Educational Testing Service (ETS) in TOEFL ibt.
