POSITION SUMMARY:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll including standard and off-cycle payrolls for consultants and corporate employees, as well as monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish the company’s pay and expense processing objectives. This position is also responsible for Travel and expense administration. This role is located in Brentwood, TN and is an in-office/hybrid position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Process payroll for employees located throughout the United States using automated systemsto produce accurate and timely payroll
  • Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour law
  • Verify withholding taxes are accurately applied
  • Manage deductions such as garnishments, insurance, and 401K deductions and ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Manage PTO and state mandated sick leave policies, track balances, and edit as necessary
  • Manage verifications of employment
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company payroll and expense policies, programs, and procedures as well as internal systems
  • Administrator of travel and expense system
    • Onboard all corporate and consultant travelers in Concur and with applicable expense policies
    • Audit Expense Reports to the Client Expense Policy
    • Reconcile Expenses with Credit Card Vendor
  • Provide timely, effective, and exceptional customer service and act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll issues such as direct deposit and tax information
  • Paycom access, pay statements, etc.
  • Run payroll audit reports and take action as necessary
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related experience

Experience: Minimum 2 years processing multi-state payrolls for fluid workforce

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Paycom, Salesforce and Erecruit experience preferred
