Vijay Kamath

Vijay Kamath has extensive experience in the banking sector, primarily at HDFC Bank from January 1998 to December 2015, serving as Senior Executive Vice President with a focus on Credit Underwriting and Fraud Risk Management for various loan products. Key responsibilities included leading a large team of Regional Credit Managers in credit appraisal for retail assets and overseeing a national team to implement enterprise-wide IT systems for real-time transaction monitoring. Previous roles at HDFC Bank also involved managing credit risk for the West region and framing retail loan policy. Earlier, Vijay served as a Branch Credit Officer at GE Capital, managing the Mumbai Loan portfolio.
