Duncan Griffin, AIA, LEED AP, LEAN, serves as the Director of Sustainability, Health, and Managing Principal at HDR since May 2016, contributing expertise in sustainable design. Previously, Duncan Griffin was a Principal at NBBJ Design from May 1996 to April 2016, leading healthcare sustainability initiatives. Prior to that role, experience includes working as an Architect at SOM/DCM/Michael Willis JV from July 1994 to July 1995, focusing on site and transportation issues at the San Francisco International Airport International Terminal. Academic credentials include a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and an A.B. in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University. Notably, during high school, Duncan Griffin graduated 12th in class and co-chaired the Committee to Save the Earth at Mercer Island High School.
