Erik Stoothoff

Erik Stoothoff is a seasoned transportation professional with extensive experience in engineering and management. Currently serving as the Transportation Professional Services Lead at HDR since April 2024, Erik previously held various leadership roles at the MBTA from April 2013 to April 2024, including Deputy Chief Engineer and Acting Chief Operating Officer, where responsibilities encompassed technical engineering direction and management of a large engineering and maintenance workforce. Erik's earlier career includes a structural engineering role at Jacobs Engineering and various co-op positions, providing a solid foundation in civil engineering while earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. Erik has also contributed to the civil engineering community as Vice President of ACEC Massachusetts and as an event chair for Boston Engineer's Week.
